First Lieutenant Adrian was a member of the 306th Tactical Fighter Squadron. On March 12, 1967, he was the pilot of a North American Super Sabre Fighter (F-100D) on a night scramble from the Tuy Hoa Runway, Phu Yen Province, South Vietnam. About six miles from the end of the runway over the South China Sea, his aircraft crashed. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
